The 2nd Technical Meeting of the Southern African Coal Processing Society for 2026 will be held at the Colliery Training College (CTC) Auditorium in Emalahleni on 26 March 2026 which will be held in conjunction with the Southern African Coal Processing Society AGM. The first presenter is Vicky van Schalkwyk from Glencore Operations South Africa who will be presenting on “Why sampling accuracy matters”. Details of the second presenter will be communicated soon.

A networking session with snacks and drinks will be held after the meeting at the CTC Lapa.

The first presenter was Pieter Bezuidenhout, Managing Director of MBE Minerals who presented on “Recovering Lost Value in Coal Preparation Plants”. The second presenter was Frikkie Enslin, Product Manager – Cyclones, Multotec International (Pty) Ltd who presented on “The era of ESG consciousness and its effects on coal handling and processing plants”.
